Board Game Group

For children who love to play board games, our clinic offers a peer therapy group that specifically focuses on strategy-based games! This group supports each child's participation through an understanding of their individual profile, and addresses therapeutic domains such as problem solving and executive functioning skills, sharing attention around ideas and experiences, and regulating through bigger feelings, such as excitement, anticipation, or frustration.

A variety of games will be selected for the group to encourage both individual and collaborative engagement, such as Chess, Balderdash, Code Names, and Forbidden Island. This group is offered for children ages 8 and older, and children are matched with peers based on age, developmental level, and individual profile.
